‘Studio’, was an 8-week project that aimed to provide a temporary supported studio space in Canberra CBD. Studio Connect members participated in facilitated workshops in skill development and training. They collaborated on new artworks alongside Key Artist and project coordinator Nicola Lambert and You Are Here artists in a supported studio environment. The space became an open studio for the duration of the YAH festival, providing an opportunity for community engagement through participant lead workshops and an exhibition of work created during the project.

Public Workshop

In the final week of the project, Studio Connect held an open studio for members of the public to come in and see our work and working methods. During this time, we ran a number of workshops for the public, advertised as part of the festival program, where we assisted members of the public to make simple artworks in response to the themes that we had been exploring.
