Diana Davidson studied at Sydney University before working in advertising, then retail. Most of her working life was spent managing fabric stores, with designing and sewing as a hobby.
After retiring Diana joined a class with Art Therapist Lorna Crane at the Belconnen Community Centre, as a volunteer with a class of people identifying with a disability.
Lorna encouraged her to paint and draw, which gave her a whole new hobby to pursue.
Diana joined the Belconnen Artists' Network and has participated in many exhibitions with them over the years.
They hold an annual exhibition early in the year at the Belconnen Community Centre and another later in the year in a variety of galleries: Gold Creek Old Church Gallery, Westfield Belconnen, Artworks Framing and Gallery in Phillip, the Belconnen Arts Centre etc, where quite a few of her works have been sold.
Diana has also exhibited with other art groups at places like the Legislative Assembly, CMAG, and has work hanging at the Artworks gallery at present.
She is still enjoying classes at the Belconnen Art Centre and also with Studio Connect run by Nicola Lambert.
